This page summarizes All Weather Architectural Aluminum Single Family Residential 10 Year Warranty ↗ (document 20AW-029, revised rev. 08/07/20, for product installed after May 1, 2020). The manufacturer's document controls if anything here differs from it. Terms can change between revisions, so confirm the current version against your order paperwork.
All Weather Architectural Aluminum is a family-owned manufacturer in Vacaville, California, building thermally broken aluminum windows and doors since 1969. Wood Windows is its Certified Dealer for the Treasure Valley, with the Series 6100 windows and the multi-slide and bifold doors on display in our Garden City showroom. Aluminum is a different material with a different warranty culture from wood or vinyl, and All Weather's document reflects that: it is two pages, it is written in plain English, and its terms are shorter than the twenty-year headlines you see from wood and vinyl makers. Here is what it says.
The Grant: Ten Years of Parts, One Year of Labor
All Weather guarantees to the original consumer purchaser of its windows or doors installed in a single-family home, by a builder as new construction or by the purchaser as a replacement, that it will repair or replace any product that is defective in materials or workmanship and will pay the costs of all parts for ten years and labor for the first year. If repair or replacement in the first year is not commercially practical or cannot be made in a timely manner, All Weather refunds the purchase price. The warranty starts on the invoice date.
That single sentence is the whole product warranty. Unlike the Andersen or Marvin documents, there is no separate glass section, no separate hardware section and no seal-failure clause; the frame, sash, thermal break, insulated glass, weatherstrip and hardware are all parts under the same ten-year grant. Fogging between the panes is a defect in materials, and All Weather's own disclaimer sheet says condensation between the panes may indicate a seal failure and should be reported. Replacement parts are covered only for the balance of the original term, and All Weather may substitute current product of equal quality and similar appearance.
The Exceptions
Three categories drop to one year of parts and labor: window and door screens, electric motors and drive units on motorized systems, and hardware in coastal or other highly corrosive environments. Glass of 70 square feet or larger and laminated glass carry whatever warranty All Weather receives from its glass supplier, with the terms provided through the dealer at quote time. On a big multi-slide panel, that supplier term is the one that governs the glass, so ask us for it when you order.
Finish: Where the Long Term Lives
All Weather's standard finishes are Class I clear and dark bronze anodizing, which fall under the general ten-year term. Painted product is warranted separately: ten years for standard paint and twenty years for Kynar, the 70 percent PVDF coating that meets the AAMA 2605 standard used by the premium wood-clad makers. If a painted exterior fails other than through natural weathering, All Weather at its option refinishes the surface at its cost to an appearance similar to the original. The exclusions take back cracking, peeling and adhesion loss in coastal applications, and natural weathering of any finish.
Labor After Year One, Transfer and Altitude
After the first year, the document is explicit that All Weather is not responsible for the cost of labor, installation, sales tax, finishing or any other associated or incidental cost, for either the original or the replacement parts, unless state law requires otherwise. On a pivot door panel or a twelve-foot multi-slide, that labor is real, and it is one reason we install these systems with our own crews and service them ourselves.
The warranty is not transferable. It extends to the original purchaser and remains in effect as long as that purchaser owns the home. Altitude has its own exclusion: insulated glass installed in a high-altitude application without capillary tubes is not covered, and neither is glass that has capillary tubes but was installed at low altitude. All Weather uses only capillary tubes, will not honor a warranty on breather tubes, and does not sell argon-filled units for high-altitude use. It does not publish the elevation where high altitude begins, so we confirm with the factory on every mountain order.
Exclusions
The rest of the exclusion list is what you would expect on an aluminum system: products not paid in full; misuse and normal wear, including discoloration of hardware finish; minor glass imperfections within ASTM tolerance; condensation, frost, mold and corrosion on surfaces; temporary thermal bowing in direct sun; acts of nature and building settlement; sloped, non-vertical or out-of-square installation; installation or maintenance not per All Weather's written instructions, its Care and Maintenance Guide, AAMA standards and code; field mulling; tints, films and customer-applied finishes; gradual argon dissipation; shattered, cracked or broken glass for any reason; improper weeping; pool and spa humidity; and sulfur or chlorine exposure. The Care and Maintenance Guide is a condition of coverage and calls for annual cleaning with no power washers or solvents.
Idaho Coverage and Claims
The residential form is titled for product installed in California after May 1, 2020, because California is All Weather's home market and the company publishes one form for all of its dealers. The coverage applies wherever an All Weather dealer sells and installs the product, and All Weather's 2026 brochure describes the same ten-year, one-year-labor warranty with no geographic limit. Wood Windows is All Weather's Certified Dealer for the Treasure Valley, and every All Weather unit we sell carries this warranty in full. Product installed before May 2020 falls under an older form with one year on the product and ten years on the insulated glass only.

Have the purchase date and sales order number from your paperwork. Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the All Weather Architectural Aluminum warranty?
Ten years on parts and one year on labor for the original purchaser of a single-family home, whether the windows went in as new construction or as a replacement. That covers the frame, sash, thermal break, insulated glass, weatherstrip and hardware together; the document does not break them out. Is the All Weather warranty transferable?

A buyer of the house inherits no manufacturer coverage on the windows and doors, though the ten-year parts term is short enough that on many homes it would have expired anyway. Compare that with Andersen and Marvin, which pass the remaining term to any new owner, and with Milgard, which gives later owners ten years from manufacture.
Are All Weather aluminum windows warranted at altitude in Idaho?
Yes, with a specific requirement. All Weather excludes insulated glass installed in a high-altitude application without capillary tubes, and, unusually, also excludes glass that has capillary tubes but was installed at low altitude. Its technical sheet says it uses only capillary tubes, never breather tubes, and does not sell argon-filled units for high altitude. All Weather does not publish the elevation at which high altitude begins, so we confirm the threshold with the factory on any order for McCall, Cascade or the Wood River Valley and specify the glass accordingly. Boise valley orders at 2,700 feet have not required tubes.
Does the All Weather warranty apply in Idaho?
Yes. All Weather Architectural Aluminum's residential warranty applies to product it sells through its dealers wherever it is installed, and Wood Windows is All Weather's Certified Dealer for the Treasure Valley, with the line on display in our Garden City showroom. The warranty form carries a California title because California is All Weather's home market, and All Weather's current brochure describes the same ten-year, one-year-labor coverage with no geographic limit.
