There is something about the outdoors that just calls to us. Given a choice between sitting in an indoor space or sitting in a comfortable outdoor environment, the outside will win every time. This is true of Jeremy and Lynn Jeffers.
Inspiration came to them after a vacation in Hawaii where the place they stayed had a big lanai. They knew they wanted to create a similar environment in their home in Boise. The solution was to enclose their patio and install a 24-foot open span door.
Wood Windows, Inc had a similar door on display and Lynn knew this was the answer. Troy Stone, Wood Windows, residential expert, was privileged to be part of the team. He led the Jeffers to an Andersen “A” Series French Gliding door and oversaw the installation by the Wood Windows crew of Merlin Gray and Niles Horst. The results are beautiful. Jeremy won an award from American Institute of Architects, Idaho Chapter for his use of Idaho wood. The details of the project are in the March 2017 Treasure Magazine.
